This work is at such a high level at every level that it's a breath of fresh air. Reid's images in both portraiture & fine art, are precisely tuned, balancing a blend of muscle & delicacy that captures & communicates our human relationships with the natural world-- the world that sustains our souls.
The portraits are not only beautifully composed & rendered, each of them portrays something essential of the individual (s)& always, always they bear, by turns, tenderness, humor, playfulness, loyalty, hope & courage. Reid is my brother, but this does not make me an easy audience, perhaps less so. This is very special photography indeed.
